Hi Matt, The iSelect can be used individually in different rooms with no problems, so one room could be playing radio 1 and another room could play Capital etc..
However it's not a multi-room system so you can't sync rooms together.
If you opt for bluetooth then you can only connect to one speaker at any one time (per bluetooth device) and it will only play on the speaker you are connected to. You could stream bluetooth music from your phone in one room whilst your partner streams music from another phone in the next room though.

Thanks for your enquiry. When we say connect to the lighting circuit we mean to the permenant live side of the lighting circuit. All lighting circuits will have a permenant live, this will either be at the ceiling positon (three plate wiring) or it'll be at the light switch (switch fed). The latter proves a bit more difficult to wire up as the live is in the wrong place. It is best to enlist an electrician to determine the best way of installing the socket from your lighting circuit based on how your property is wired.
